We will start the tour by driving to the west coast of Vestmannaeyjar. The first stop is the amazing elephant rock where you can see this big rock creature dip his trunk into the sea.<\/p>\n
Next up is driving to the southern point of Vestmannaeyjar, St\u00f3rh\u00f6f\u00f0i, to visit the biggest Puffin colony in the world. The driving on the way is one of the most spectacular scenery of the island as you will see the island cluster of the Vestmannaeyjar in all its glory and if the weather is good you will see all the way to Surtsey, but Surtsey is the southernmost island in the Vestmannaeyjar cluster and was formed in an underwater eruption on November 14, 1963. At St\u00f3rh\u00f6f\u00f0i the view in all directions is magnificent, despite the fact that the weather can make you spin around as it is one of the windiest places in the country. We will take the walk to a special place and give ourselves plenty of time to observe the crown jewel of Vestmannaeyjar, the puffins, watch them play around on the slope, take off and come in to land while the guide tells us interesting facts about the puffins and their surroundings.<\/p>\n
